About Tariff Refund Guides
Our Mission
Tariff Refund Guides is an independent informational resource created to help U.S. importers understand their rights and options following the Supreme Court's ruling that struck down IEEPA tariffs.
The February 2026 ruling in V.O.S. Selections Inc. v. United States created one of the largest customs duty refund opportunities in American history. But claiming those refunds requires action — understanding the process, gathering documentation, and filing through CBP's CAPE portal. Many of the businesses that are owed money don't know where to start.
We built this site to be the clearest, most accurate, and most practical guide to IEEPA tariff refunds on the internet. Everything we publish is designed to help you understand your options, not to confuse or overwhelm you.
Editorial Standards
We cite primary sources — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT), and reputable trade publications — so you can verify what we report. We do not publish unverified claims, predictions dressed as facts, or promotional content presented as editorial information.
When facts change — when CBP updates its guidance, when litigation produces new rulings, when refund processes evolve — we update our content. Every article shows a "Last Updated" date.
We are not customs brokers, trade attorneys, licensed professionals, or government officials. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, tax, financial, or customs advice. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a licensed customs broker, trade attorney, or CPA.
Affiliate Disclosure
Our affiliate relationship is with a single vetted recovery partner — a firm that helps importers file CAPE claims. The "Claim My Refund" button on our calculator links to that partner. We evaluated their process, their fee structure, and their experience with customs filings before agreeing to refer users to them. We do not accept payment to change our editorial coverage, and the existence of this affiliate relationship does not affect what countries, processes, or options we describe on this site.
We do not earn money from CBP, from the U.S. government, or from any other third party related to IEEPA refunds.
